Ubuntu Sharing Circle
The South African concept of “Ubuntu,” means “I am, because we are.” It is meant to emphasize the importance of community and interconnectedness. This presentation was developed by Jayda Hendrickson, who is currently studying abroad in South Africa, and is facilitated by Jocelyn McCullough.

Global Trekkers at the KIPP: STRIVE and KIPP: SOUL campus embarked on a fruity adventure, putting their taste buds to the test with some mysterious munchies! Trekkers had the chance to sample exotic delights like yellow dragon fruit, sweet tamarind, and rambutan.
Drumroll, please... the rambutan snagged the gold medal, with yellow dragon fruit hot on its tail for a thrilling second place! 🍍✨
South African Samoosa
Samoosas are a traditional dish originating from the Cape Malay community in Cape Town, South Africa. Trekkers had the chance to sample vegetarian and chicken Samoosas!
Their official Yelp rating was a perfect 5 out of 5.
